About the Author
Born in Northern Ireland, the author’s family moved constantly across North America and Europe. After graduation, he shifted west to Vancouver, a base for his field work in the Arctic's barren lands. Trekking and road-tripping counter-culture trails filled his off-season, including North Africa and Mexico.
Imperial College, London followed, then with family to Vienna for two years in 1992, as Austria prepared to join the EU. A return to Alberta was followed by four years in Tirana, Albania—the family stayed in the Balkans for seven years.
After returning home in 2008, Peter went back to his literary roots and began writing fiction based on his experiences. He alternates between a cabin in the Kootenays of British Columbia and Alberta, and is currently writing about Thatcher's London when the Irish question rained bombs and the Falklands War had the nation's focus.
Peter remains a frequent and observant traveler.
